Role Overview
The Senior Automation Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust automation scripts
for UI and backend systems using Playwright and Python, working closely with the QA Architect.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop UI automation scripts using Playwright + Python.
• Automate complex user workflows across applications.
• Implement API automation and backend data validation.
• Handle SSO-based authentication in automation.
• Create and maintain reusable test components.
• Execute and analyse regression and smoke test suites.
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Review code from mid-level engineers and ensure quality standards.
Required Skills
• Strong experience in Playwright automation.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience in API automation (REST).
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with test reporting and failure analysis.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
• Experience with microservices testing.
• Exposure to Kubernetes or Docker.
• Data validation and SQL experience.
